Haven’t you asked yourself or were you’d been curious enough to ask why birds form ‘V’ when they fly in a flock?
I actually asked not just myself before, but also some people including my mom. But sad to know, they all do not know what really the reason behind why they form ‘V’ shape and how they perfectly do it.
Good enough, researchers from Royal Veterinary College in London made a thorough investigation about this and revealed that birds do know what they’re doing and they do are aware where the other birds are. The researchers, in fact, concluded that each bird able to lift the tip of the wings of the bird ahead of them and with that position, birds can do timing of their wing beats.
Isn’t that a clever move for those birds? Next time, I should have a recorder with me, not just an olympus ls-10, but a video recorder so I can perfectly catch how birds form ‘V’ in the sky.
Exciting! Isn’t it?
