The new discovery of the researchers was a harmless protein mixture which usually help grow bacteria was found out to destroy starfishes in less than 24 hours. But these findings were not yet being tested and proven on the reef itself. But hopefully, and soon enough, this could be the answer and a very good way to help maintain the great barrier reef.
