Deciding for a New Aquarium Set

When I was in Cebu City, I really put up my own aquarium set and of course, a number of different kinds of fishes including flowerhorn fihes. If you could still remember my Ishy, that was she. She was my very first every flowerhorn fish.

Now, that I’ve moved already, I am thinking of having an aquarium again after seeing a lot of aquarium accessories displayed in the mall during my visit there a week ago. It was just an unexpected stop after I dropped by at a store where diamond ring engagement set was sold. The displayed aquarium accessories were sold in a lower price — discounted prices from its original. That was actually the reason why I wanted to set up my aquarium. But I am still hesitant to push through with it or not. I still need more time to think and decide even more.

2012 Lucky Pets/Animals at Home — Flowerhorn Fishes

Flowerhorn fishes are said to be one of the luckiest pets or animals when reared at home. Emoticon

I am planning to have a new sets of flowerhorn fishes in our apartment this coming new year — 2012. Since Ishy died, I did not buy new one, but for now, I guess, it’s already time to have new fishy pets at home.

Sometimes, I am thinking to bring Kenet, my pet dog, in Cebu City instead. But with the very sweet and cuddly attitude of Kenet, I don’t think I could give her enough time that she is longing for from me unlike when she’s just here in our house where other member of the family can play with her and take care of her as well.

So I guess, a flowerhorn fish would be enough then.

Goodbye Ishy

Could you still remember that I left Ishy on his foster master? Yeah, I did that because of some personal stuff that I need to do and work with it on. As far as I don’t want her to get away from me, I really need to do it.

Seeing the image above, that was taken on July 2011, seems like Ishy was so in to her new house though I didn’t changed her aquarium and aquarium accessories inside. She was there for more than a month in that house. I supposed to fetch her as scheduled on the third week of August 2011, however, I have had my scheduled trip also, a quick mini vacation going home for 5 days up to the last day of such month. Thence, I decided to just fetch her up as soon as I could go back here in Cebu.

As promised to myself, just the day after I arrived, I visited Ishy together with M, since he arrived that day also from Manila and he wanted to see Ishy also. But with our excited, we were seeing Ishy so very weak and doesn’t move that quick and excited as we expected. In less than an hour of seeing her, while M was checking her aquarium, Ishy died.

I am missing her so much now. M suggested me to buy new flowerhorn fish again. But I still am grieving with Ishy’s loss. I can’t decided yet for now.

GARY, The Chocolate-Loving Fish

Fishes are very picky, like me, in terms of food choices. Off course, they’re ain’t human, they’re animals, they’re fishes. LOL!

I was thinking and planning to change the diet preferences of  Ishy before I let her be adopted for a while to her foster master. However, I was hesitant to try because I am afraid that she might get ill or something if I’d do unusual to her. But now, after reading about Gary, the fish who has been fed my his master/owner with chocolates, which Gary found real yummy on that, I am heading up to my first plan now. Yay!

Gary is a chocolate-fed gourami. According to Gary’s master, he has been growing healthy with no illnesses at all. He has been fed by kit kat wafers.

This info made me think to give Ishy a try of feeding her other foodies not just merely food fishes. Hmp!

Missing Ishy SO MUCH!

It’s already five days that Ishy is not here with me in my apartment. And I am really missing her so much. When she was still here, I used to talk to her for almost two hours a day. I keep following her with my pointer finger every where in her aquarium she’d like to go to.

I didn’t tell M that I temporarily let Ishy be adopted by a friendly caring hand. When he came last Friday, he was very shocked seeing nothing – an empty living room in my apartment. He was asking me where Ishy is, but I still am closed mouth over this thing.

The image above was taken during our trip in Bacolod City. That wall decor image was actually a school of fish in one of the spa centers in Bacolod City. Now that Ishy is not with me, I have nothing to look at but only that wall decor picture in my desktop computer.
